I know rowdy sports fans.  After the 2004 Boston Red Sox NLCS win I ran into the streets and found myself in a crowd which was fired on by police; a girl my age was killed.  I returned to my dorm area to find my schoolmates, band geeks mind you, had torn down a lamp post, tossed newspaper vends from one corner to the other, were pushing on cars trapped by the traffic and terrorizing the passengers inside them.  While I’ve lived in LA I’ve witnessed a handful of violent Lakers finals I never gave a second thought to (because F basketball).  I know how sports fans can get, whether their team won or lost.  Sports even drove Canadians, the most infamously docile group of us human creatures, to pillage and plunder one of their own cities.  I’ve seen rowdy.  This is not rowdy, this is downright malicious.
